Boxer Hussein al-Masri qualifies for 49 kg finals at Islamic Solidarity Games

Hussein al-Masri of the Syrian national boxing team qualified for the final game of the 49 kg competitions at the 4th tournament of the Islamic Solidarity Games held in the Azeri capital Baku.

Al-Masri made it through to the finals after beating an Uzbek boxer 1-4 in the semi-finals.

The final game will take place on Thursday, where al-Masri is going to face an Iraqi boxer.

Syrian boxers Ahmad Ghossoun, Alaa Ghousson and Munaf Asaad will take part in the semi-final competitions that continue later today in the 49 kg, 91 kg and above 91 kg categories, respectively.
